We all know that flea bites itch and can make sensitive dogs break out in rashes and hot spots and that both fleas and ticks carry some really nasty diseases that you all want to avoid. Bravecto reviews state that the product starts working really fast, helping to get an infestation under control quickly.

Given that some dogs have experienced seizures as a side effect with Bravecto, it is very important that you tell your vet if your dog has any history of seizures. With a history of seizures, it would be best to use a different flea and tick solution.

Bravecto is unique in that it gives dog owners a solution to active flea and tick infestations in an easy-to-administer, convenient, 12-week dose. Although some side effects have been reported, that is true for any drug, and studies have shown that the drug is safe for most dogs.

On the day of her delivery we almost lost her due to a deformed puppy being stuck in her birth canal the puppy did not survive it had an abnormally large head that was deformed and we also had another puppy born with no tail or rectum s owe had him euthanized the next day at the vet, in all we lost 3 puppies that day and almost lost out girl Luna. We gave Our dog Luna bravecto at week 2 of her pregnancy at the advise of our vet please please please do not give this poison to any of your pets!! It is not a safe product!

Bought Bravecto on Friday today is Sunday and I still have fleas alive jumping off my small dog. It states it kills fleas, but they still live. I just killed 7 on my bed from where the dog was sleeping. Why?

Just as humans are allergic to different types of antibiotics, so also are dogs allergic to different types of medication. There are many among us who just cannot stand penicillin while many would not think twice before popping a penicillin given by the doctor. If you are being admitted, hospitals used to test small patches of your skin for allergy to various drugs. That is why Bravecto is a prescription drug. It is presumed that the Vet would have tested for adverse reactions (with one fourth the dose by weight and observation for two weeks) before prescribing Bravecto for long term use. If that had not been done, and if the first full dose of Bravecto produces unpleasant reactions, stop taking it. End of Story. FOR HEAVENS SAKE, DO NOT CAUSE A STOPPAGE IN SUPPLY OF BRAVECTO FOR MY DOG JUST BECAUSE YOUR DOG CANNOT STAND IT. That is being cruel in the garb of being helpful.

I administered Bravecto to my 11 month old female golden retriever. Shortly after eating this tablet, she started shedding her coat. She gradually started scratching more and more and licking her paws. Her ears became red and irritated and she developed a weird rash on her belly. Now, she is shedding her fur at a very alarming rate. She has very little of her coat left, just enough to cover her skin. I took her to the vet and we just assumed it was a food allergy and so I am in the process of switching her diet but nothing seems to be working and I am now wondering if there have been any other reports of this happening to other dogs. Looking for advice.

Bravecto tastes awful to our food-oriented Malamute and Affenpinscher. Pill pockets sometimes work, but peanut butter will be licked off and the pill rejected. Repeatedly. I cannot believe so many dogs in other reviews eat this med with gleeful abandon.

Bravecto is the first FDA-approved treatment that offers 12 weeks protection against fleas and ticks. It comes in pork-flavored soft chews and easy-to-apply topicals. Available for both dogs and cats.

Bravecto chews provide up to 12 weeks of protection against fleas and ticks for dogs. Each chew starts killing fleas within 2 hours and controls 4 tick species: black-legged tick (deer tick), American dog tick, brown dog tick, and lone star tick (8 weeks protection only). Bravecto also eliminates existing flea infestations and prevents new ones from developing for 12 weeks. The chews come in various doses for different sized dogs and are safe to use with puppies from 6 months old and weighs 4.4 pounds (2 kg) or more.

Bravecto topical contains the same active ingredient as the chews for external application in dogs and cats. It also protects against fleas and ticks for 12 weeks. Bravecto for dogs (topical) kills fleas and controls 4 tick species: black-legged tick (deer tick), American dog tick, brown dog tick, and lone star tick (8 weeks protection only). Bravecto for cats (topical) kills fleas and controls 2 tick species: black-legged tick (deer tick) and American dog tick (8 weeks protection only).

That being said, Bravecto, as with many other drugs, can have negative side effects, which are discussed below. In fact, many of our readers have noticed the side effects listed below in their dogs. There are some consumer reports that Bravecto has been linked to canine fatality but this connection has not been proven.

Dogs may itch after Bravecto is administered for a couple of reasons. First, if your dog has fleas, your dog may itch more because of them. Second, in a U.S. field study1 including 321 dogs, 0.9% of dogs given topical Bravecto experienced moist dermatitis/rash, which could lead to increased itching.

Demodectic Mange also known as Demodicosis or Red Mange is a skin disease caused by a microscopic parasitic mite. Demodectic mites are found in small numbers in the hair follicles of normal dogs. In dogs with demodicosis, however, these mites proliferate, and large numbers inhabit the skin and hair follicles, probably because of some defect in the function of their immune system. This dysfunction may be temporary or it may be permanent. Anything that suppresses the function of the immune system (stress, certain disease conditions, drugs, reproductive cycles, injury, etc.) makes it more difficult for the host to resist the mites. Puppies can get this skin parasite from their mothers a couple of days after birth. Demodectic mange in some cases is considered a hereditary condition.

In cases where the skin lesions are localized to one or two areas of the body we recommend the use of Goodwinol ointment. In cases non responsive to the use of Mitaban dips, a diluted solution or oral Ivermectin in conjunction with the use of Preventic Tick collars can be used as protocol of treatment. In the past some dogs had been treated successfully with daily doses of Interceptor (heartworm preventive).

Bravecto, a new chewable tablet for the control of fleas and ticks has been recently evaluated as a potential new treatment of Demodicosis in dogs. The following paragraphs provide a summary of a recent study published about the effect of Bravecto on this skin condition.
